Stop the Ghost Train! Is it the weekend so soon??!

Getting geared up and ready for the nights scary action, let us be your group of trick or treating zombies, vampires and werewolves as we eagerly make our way through the streets from house to house, scaring all that we see as we go gathering more and more sugary treats of the night from more and more unsuspecting victims! Let us be your trusty pillow case as we fill ever more with cinematic greatness, before bursting at the seams, spilling our celluloid wonder all over this weekend!

SATURDAY 1st NOVEMBER

The Italian Job (1969) More4 4:50pm-6:50pm (2 hours)

A crook puts together a motley gang to steal £4million in gold bullion from an Italian armoured car, which brings Turin to a standstill and enables the robbers to make a quick getaway in a fleet of Minis - but they end up falling foul of the Mafia along the way. Crime comedy, starring Michael Caine, Noel Coward, Benny Hill, Tony Beckley and John Le Mesurier.

Back to the Future Part III (1990) ITV2 7:35pm-10:00pm (2 hours 25 minutes)

Time-travelling teenager Marty McFly is transported back to the days of the Wild West, where he strives to save his eccentric scientist friend Doc Brown from death at the hands of a villainous gunslinger. Final instalment in the sci-fi comedy trilogy, starring Michael J Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Mary Steenburgen and Thomas F Wilson.

Footloose (1984) E4 9:00pm-11:10pm (2 hours 10 minutes)

A rebellious, hip-swinging student from the city moves to a small religious community, where he instantly clashes with an old-school fire-and-brimstone preacher - who has banned dancing and rock 'n' roll because he considers them immoral. Drama, starring Kevin Bacon, Lori Singer, John Lithgow, Chris Penn, Dianne Wiest and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Scream (1996) Syfy 10:00pm-12:00am (2 hours)

The students of a high school are stalked by a masked knife-wielding maniac with a love of scary movies and a penchant for playing mind games with his prey. One of the girls on his hit list begins to suspect there is a connection between the killer and her mother's murder a year previously. Wes Craven's horror, which satirises the genre's cliches, starring Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox.

Fun Fact: When the phone slips out of Billy's hand and hits Stu's head, it was completely unintentional. Wes Craven kept it in because of Stu's realistic reaction.

The Evil Dead (1982) Film4 11:15pm-1:00am (1 hour 45 minutes)

Five students staying in a remote cabin find an ancient magical book, and unwittingly unleash evil spirits on the world. The dark forces they have conjured up possess them one by one, transforming them into ravenous zombies with an insatiable desire to feast on the living. Sam Raimi's horror, starring Bruce Campbell and Ellen Sandweiss.

The Great Escape (1963) MGM Channel 8:05am-10:55am (2 hours 50 minutes)

The most rebellious Allied prisoners of war are sent to a supposedly escape-proof maximum-security detention camp during the Second World War. They plan an ingenious mass breakout by digging a tunnel, but even when free of the camp, making it across occupied Europe proves a dangerous journey. Drama, starring Steve McQueen, James Coburn, Donald Pleasence, James Garner, Charles Bronson and Richard Attenborough.

The Simpsons Movie (2007) Channel 4 4:50pm-6:35pm (1 hour 45 minutes)

Homer unwittingly pollutes Lake Springfield, so the US government decides to isolate the city underneath a giant dome. The Simpsons manage to escape and plan to start a new life in Alaska - but learn Springfield is about to be destroyed, and return to save their friends. With the voices of Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright and Yeardley Smith.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) ITV2 5:25pm-8:00pm (2 hours 35 minutes)

Scientist Dr Ian Malcolm reluctantly joins a research team on the island where his employer first designed genetically engineered dinosaurs. Meanwhile, a big-game hunter takes the chance to bag the biggest prize of all - a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Steven Spielberg's dinosaur adventure sequel, starring Jeff Goldblum, Julianne Moore, Pete Postlethwaite and Richard Attenborough.

Beetlejuice (1988) Channel 5 7:15pm-9:00pm (1 hour 45 minutes)

Recently deceased couple Adam and Barbara Maitland enlist the professional services of a hard-boiled veteran ghost to scare away the obnoxious yuppie family who have moved into their former home. Tim Burton's supernatural comedy, starring Michael Keaton, Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin, Winona Ryder, Jeffrey Jones and Catherine O'Hara.

The Departed (2006) Film4 9:00pm-12:00am (3 hours)

A cop infiltrates the inner circle of a feared Boston mobster, unaware a fellow officer is already an informant on the gangster's payroll. When both the crooks and the police discover they have a mole in their ranks, the two detectives realise they are in sudden danger and try to expose each other. Martin Scorsese's Oscar-winning thriller, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen and Alec Baldwin.
