Top News! Ghostbusters Sequel Cast Revealed...

It's back everyone! Yep the long awaited (30 years!) sequel to one of the most iconic 80s films ever has been confirmed at the cast revealed!

Since it's release back in 1994, Ghostbusters has become one of the films that defines a generation and era of Cinema. Snappy ad-libbed comedy from the like of Bill Murray, possibly THE best movie song ever and plenty of dodgy special effects (that were totally creepy back then!), this retro legend had everything going for it and certainly won our hearts from the very first watch which what inspired some of our very own Ghostbusters T-Shirts!

It seems that now just after its 30 year anniversary that the powers that be are firing up their proton packs, booting up and loading the Ecto-mobile with supplies as they gear up to create an all-female sequel! Exciting!

Not only that! The cast have finally been revealed which has only fanned our flames of excitement as there are some pretty big names set to full some pretty big ooze covered boots. Take a look at the fab new line-up....

Kristen WiigStar

Best known for starring in Bridesmaids (which she co-wrote), Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and even the voice of Lucy in Despicable Me, Kristen has quickly earned a name for herself as one of the funniest women in the movie bizz. Before all her movie success, Kristen had many years of performances on hit US show Saturday Night Live which earned two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Melissa McCarthy

Fellow star of award winning flick Bridesmaids, Melissa has also seen huge screen success with her roles on Gilmore Girls, This Is 40, The Hangover Part III, The Heat, St. Vincent and Mike & Molly. Melissa has had a string of amazing leading roles and really brings so much comedy gold to every scene she is in.

Leslie Jones

Leslie recently appeared with Chris Rock in his film Top Five and began her Saturday Night Live career as a writer before later joining its on-screen line-up last year. She has also been seen in some of our own regular watches including Workaholics and The League.

Kate McKinnon

Last but no means least, Kate has been a fellow Saturday Night Live regular since 2012 and also received an Emmy nomination last year for her work on the series. She is also known for playing the voice of PEZ Cat on the Toy Story of Terror short TV show back in 2013.

With such a buzz surrounding this iconic name, we really can't wait to see what the team can come up with.

The film is set for release on July 22, 2016.

So what do you think? Are you excited for this to hit the big screen? Let us know your thoughts below.
