Vertical Limit (2000) Sony Movies 2:15pm-4:35pm

A wildlife photographer is forced to master his fears and the elements as he leads an expedition to climb K2, the world's second-highest mountain, on a desperate mission to rescue his estranged sister and her fellow mountaineers, who have fallen into a crevasse. Action-adventure, starring Chris O'Donnell, Bill Paxton, Scott Glenn and Robin Tunney.

The Goonies (1985) Channel 5 3:35pm-5:45pm

Seven youngsters discover an old map and set out on the adventure of a lifetime to save their homes from a land developer by finding a legendary pirate's hidden treasure. However, they first have to navigate a series of booby-trapped underground caverns and outwit a family of crooks also after the loot. Children's adventure, starring Sean Astin, Corey Feldman, Josh Brolin and Martha Plimpton.

One Fine Day (1996) Film4 4:35pm-6:50pm

The working day for two mismatched single professionals is thrown into turmoil when their children have to stay at home after missing a school trip. The pair agree to take it in turns to babysit while struggling to stick to their hectic schedules - but during the course of the day their feelings for each other blossom unexpectedly. Romantic comedy, starring George Clooney, Michelle Pfeiffer, Charles Durning and Mae Whitman.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) ITV 7:30pm-10:10pm

In a galaxy far, far away, Jyn Erso - the maverick daughter of scientist Galen Erso - joins the Rebel Alliance. On the planet Scarif, she and the freedom fighters, including a blind warrior and a deadpan droid, attempt to steal plans for the Death Star, a battle station capable of destroying entire worlds, which was designed by her father on behalf of the Empire. However, the Rebels face tough competition from Imperial warlord Orson Krennic and shadowy forces, including Darth Vader, who will come to play a major part in the rise of the Empire. Star Wars prequel set before the events of A New Hope, starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna and Ben Mendelsohn.

Cannonball Run II (1984) ITV4 8:40pm-10:50pm

An assortment of daredevil motorists torments America's law enforcement officers while taking part in an illegal coast-to-coast race organised by an Arab sheik who is putting up the million-dollar prize money. Comedy sequel, starring Burt Reynolds, Shirley MacLaine, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Telly Savalas and Frank Sinatra.

Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) ITV4 10:50pm-1:00am

Wisecracking Detroit detective Axel Foley returns to Los Angeles to investigate the shooting of an old friend and uncovers a connection with a spate of violent robberies carried out by a criminal who leaves a mysterious calling card. Comedy thriller sequel, with Eddie Murphy, Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Ronny Cox and Brigitte Nielsen.

SUNDAY 15th December

The Mummy (1999) ITV 2:40pm-4:50pm

A soldier of fortune joins an academic and her conniving brother on an expedition to an ancient Egyptian lost city. The explorers accidentally cause the spirit of a vengeful priest with awe-inspiring supernatural powers to rise from his tomb, leading to a desperate battle for survival. Fantasy action-adventure, starring Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, John Hannah, Arnold Vosloo and Oded Fehr.

A gifted youngster is packed off by her selfish parents to the prison-like Crunchem Hall School. Once there, she befriends a sweet-natured teacher who convinces her that not all grown-ups are bad - and urges her to use her special powers to turn the tables on the nasty headmistress. Fantasy comedy, adapted from the children's book by Roald Dahl, with Mara Wilson, Pam Ferris, Embeth Davidtz, Rhea Perlman and Danny DeVito, who also directed.

Liar Liar (1997) ITV2 5:40pm-7:25pm

A lawyer, whose underhand ploys to win cases leave him little time to see his son, discovers he is incapable of lying after the boy's birthday wish makes his dad tell only the truth. However, this causes a host of problems as the attorney tries to muddle his way through a high-profile divorce settlement. Comedy, with Jim Carrey, Maura Tierney, Justin Cooper, Jennifer Tilly and Cary Elwes.

Elf (2003) ITV 6:10pm-8:00pm

A child is taken in by kind-hearted Santa and raised as an elf - so it comes as a shock when he discovers years later that he is in fact human. Deciding to get back to his roots, he heads off for New York in search of his long-lost family, but is ill-prepared for the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple. Fantasy comedy, starring Will Ferrell, James Caan, Zooey Deschanel and Edward Asner.

Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, tires of being scary and decides to take over the friendly world of Christmas. After kidnapping Santa, he prepares to take his place and do Christmas in his own ghoulish way. Stop-motion animated fantasy, with the voices of Chris Sarandon, Catherine O'Hara and Paul Reubens, and a musical score by Danny Elfman.

First Blood (1982) ITV4 9:00pm-11:05pm

Vietnam veteran John Rambo is wrongfully arrested in a backwoods town and tested to the limits of his endurance by a brutal deputy. Rambo escapes from his cell and heads out to the woods, and with the forces of the law in hot pursuit he finally has the chance to fight them on his own terms. Action thriller, starring Sylvester Stallone, Brian Dennehy, Richard Crenna and David Caruso.

A woman and her daughter move to a sleepy French village in 1959 and brazenly open a chocolate shop directly opposite the Catholic parish church during Lent. At first, the locals are enraged and appalled, but her confections soon raise spirits in the community, especially among the wives. Drama adapted from Joanne Harris's novel, with Juliette Binoche, Johnny Depp, Alfred Molina and Judi Dench.

Philadelphia brawler Rocky Balboa gets a shot at the world heavyweight title when current champion Apollo Creed decides to give an unknown boxer a chance in celebration of America's bicentennial. Oscar-winning drama, starring Sylvester Stallone, Burgess Meredith, Talia Shire, Burt Young and Carl Weathers.
