Blogger Round Up: Our Latest Fashion Blog Features

As you may or may not know, we really lurrrve working with blogs and bloggers who really help us to showcase our designs by taking something from the site and transforming it into something simply amazing of their own! Each blogger has their own style, ideas and of course personality which is so great for us as we can see just how you guys might style up our creations and really express yourslves.

One thing we’ve learnt over our many experiences with some simply amazing fashion bloggers is just how versatile a humble tee shirt is! We’ve seen designs look as just at home in a rocky/ grunge look as they are in a more geektastic style. We’re always amazed at just how people with a keen eye see our designs and the looks they can create around them.

To show you guys just what we mean, we thought we would take a quick look back and showcase some of our latest blog features. Let’s dive in!

The Little Magpie

Amy has got an splendid sense of style and we love the rock chick vibe she pulls together with our awesome Joy Division t-shirt, leather skirt, top knot and sunnies on her blog, ‘The Little Magpie’!

What Olivia Did

Olivia’s blog ‘What Olivia Did’ delightfully focuses on fashion, style, beauty and general ramblings! Our Pink Floyd tee looks stunning with a tasselled, suede jacket, skinnies and fedora hat.

The Style Rawr

The amazing girlies Tara and Jade over at The Style Rawr certainly know their stuff! Jade recently turned our very own God Save the Princess of Power She-Ra T-Shirt into a punk rock masterpiece with an amazing studded leather jacket, tartan skirt and boots. Love!

Cocochic – Creatorsofdesire

Fashion Journalism student and Editor Stephanie opted for our amazing Grease sweater inspired by the Rhydell High Chearleaders. Coupling this with some dark shorts, white collar top and of course…some classic black wayfarers, we really love this look.

This Fashion Is Mine

Fashion blogger Gwen re-lived some amazing moments from Heaton Park with our Stone Roses I Wanna Be Adored T-Shirt from Amplified Vintage. Matching this amazing band tee with some blue skinny jeans, converse and gold watch, it’s a simple classic style that will live on as long as rock n roll itself!

Aaaand that’s all folks! Follow any of these blogs yourself? Or even run your own? If you’re interested in featuring some TruffleShuffle on your own blog, let us know with a comment below or pop us an email on and we can see what we can do.

We love TruffleShuffle tees just as much as you do!

Working for the biggest online retailer of cool t-shirts, we see our fair share of amazing tees hit the shelves…! But which ones have stuck out? Do we have a favourite..and why do we love them so much? I’ve grabbed 10 minutes with a few of my favourite TruffleShufflers and asked them about their fashion tee-ndencies while they’ve worked here, and what generally makes them tick when it comes to the world of retro! Enjoy!

First up is James, the designer for TruffleShuffle (he’s the one responsible for all the cool t-shirts – so we should probably take 5 minutes to applaud his geniusness!)

Out of Print t-shirts

Favourite t-shirt ever produced? – Old Skool Gamer T-Shirt.  I’ve been a massive computer game fan since I was about 10, so to get the opportunity to design a T-Shirt featuring all my favourite consoles and controllers was a bit of a treat.

Favourite range you’ve ever designed? – Sesame Street is always really fun to work with, they’ve got such a versatile range of characters and we’re always allowed to do quite weird and wonderful things with them.  Whether we’ve got Elmo and the gang crossing Abbey Road, joining a rock group or even recreating the Trainspotting movie poster they always make it look cool!

What was your first t-shirt ever purchased from TruffleShuffle? – My first T-Shirt from TruffleShuffle was one featuring Pac-Man and one of the Ghosts taking over Tokyo, it managed to look retro and modern at the same time and is still one of the favourite items in my wardrobe!  It came from Chunk clothing who are always experts in doing weird mash ups with their characters.

Secondly we have the ever so beautiful Lucy, the buyer here at TruffleShuffle. She’s also responsible for all the coolness on the site – so be nice to her. If you want to bribe her into stocking something, chocolate and jewellery will definitely earn you some brownie points!

TruffleShuffle t-shirts

Favourite item you’ve ever sourced for TruffleShuffle? – The brand, Mr Gugu & Miss Go. It’s a really new, crazy, quirky and punchy range which makes a real statement. We like to keep things fresh and exciting on and this brand offers funky, psychedelic and kitsch retro influences, teamed with modern technology, creating cool, vibrant all over prints for an edgy, hipster look! My fave has to be the crazy cat!

Who’s your favourite celebrity ever spotted in TruffleShuffle clobber? – I think Cara Delevingne has a really fab look and always looks great in a retro tee!

Sum up TruffleShuffle in 5 words? – Nostalgic, Fun, Individual, Quirky, Awesome!

Next up is Amy, she’s responsible for overseeing the whole operation when it comes to your goods hitting the shelves…! She’ was the first ever member of staff here at TruffleShuffle (to be honest, I think she’s just waiting for the day we stock high heels…she doesn’t love us at all. It’s all about the shoes!)

Grease t-shirts

So the Goonies kick-started it all for TruffleShuffle, but what’s your fave retro movie? – Mrs Doubtfire (1993!)

What item from TruffleShuffle are you lusting over at the moment? – coming soon – can’t wait!

Who’s your favourite Disney princess? – Cinderella (Ultimate Disney glam!)

Next up is Iain, he’s in charge of marketing! He is responsible for all the cool stuff happening on our social networking sites.

Movie t-shirts

If you could be an extra in any 80’s film, which would you choose? It would have to be Star Wars in Return of The Jedi, getting to dress up as a Stormtrooper would be so much fun. I’d make sure I didn’t pump my head though. D’oh!

Out of all the TruffleShuffle tees you have, what one gets the most comments? – Most comments? Hmmm probably my Tommy Cooper T-Shirt, I think he’s such a beloved comedian and not too often seen on screen these days sadly. Seeing it instantly reminds people of how amazing he was perhaps.

Favourite band from the 80’s?  – WOW that’s a tricky one, torn between Metallica and Queen…I’m going to say Queen. I’ve always loved their sound and really believe they helped shape music even up to today. Legends.

Lee, our photographer wears aloooot of cool t-shirts so he’s next on our quiz hit list.

Music t-shirts

Biggest fashion faux paux of your childhood? Basin hair cut. My mum was so good at it though she didn’t need the basin to cut around

Last thing you bought from TruffleShuffle? Beastie Boys Robot T-shirt

Who would win in a fight…Superman or Batman, more importantly…why? Batman because as he is a member of the Justice League he knows all Superman’s strengths and weaknesses and habits, Plus Batman has possession of a kryptonite ring which would be able to leave Superman helpless.

There you have it…! All our favourite stuff summed up! What’s your favourite TruffleShuffle t-shirt, past or present?

When Baywatch ‘wave’d goodbye to our screens! xoxo

First aired in 1989 – Baywatch was one of the coolest shows on TV! Today marks the anniversary of the last ever show back in 2001. David Hasslehoff and Pamela Anderson running round wearing very little was probably the main highlight..but putting aside the tiny bikinis, and the even tinier speedos, it was also full of action packed story lines that seemed to keep us all entertained as we were growing up. Everything from earthquakes, shark attacks – serial killers, nuclear bombs….every now and again someone would nearly drown too – just a minor theme in the show!

As we are wise owls when it comes to retro trivia – we’re going to fill you in on some exciting facts relating to Baywatch!

* We sell AMAZING Baywatch T-shirts (and some pretty cool Baywatch costumes!).

* Baywatch is the brainchild of producer Gregory J. Bonann. He was a lifeguard who often worked with Michael Newman and came up with the series idea about lifeguards based on his experiences.

* Gregory pitched the idea around Hollywood for years without success until his sister married TV writer Douglas Schwartz. Douglas later teamed with Michael Berk and sold Gregory’s idea to NBC.

* At its peak in the mid-90s, Baywatch was seen by over 1 billion viewers, was shown in over 144 countries in 23 different languages.

* The show drew more female viewers than male. Statistics showed that female viewership was at a dominating 65 percent!

* Producer Douglas Schwartz’s business cards were once stolen. Afterwards, he began getting calls from actresses who claimed to have been promised a part on the show. The thief, who was later caught, was using the cards to ‘further his social life’.

* Many of the show’s actors had tatoos and in most seasons were covered with body makeup.

* Douglas Schwartz has stated that the show has made about $450 million.

* California beaches can get very cold. Baywatch makes it look as if it’s extremely sunny and warm. The water is 57 degrees. Gena Lee Nolin and Yasmine Bleeth once came down with hypothermia.

* Producers originally wanted to use “The Boys of Summer” by Don Henley for the Baywatch theme song, but fortunately for all the fans, they couldn’t afford the $100,000 licensing fee at that time.

Show off your appreciation with one of our Baywatch tees!

Feeling a little more brave? If you’re looking for a cool fancy dress costume – then we have just the thing for you! With the likes of Molly King and Georgie Porter rocking the ladies costume, it’s clearly fit for all Baywatch loving babes…!

What’s your favourite fact? For us – the business card one…he gets a massive high five from us!
