Take Yourself Back to the Future with Our Official Range of BTTF T-Shirts!

The legend that is Michael J Fox turned 50 this month and we couldn't let his birthday pass without paying a little tribute to the role that made him a bona fide movie star!

Although we are of course big fans of his characters in the likes of Teen Wolf, Doc Hollywood, The Hard Way and The Frighteners - it was his winning performance as Marty Mc Fly that really put him on the map. Easily one of the best movie trilogies of all time, Back To The Future follows the adventures of Marty and the eccentric scientist, Dr. Emmett Brown (played by Christopher Lloyd) as they use their modified Delorean to travel back in time to different periods of the history of Hill Valley, California. The first film was the highest-grossing film of 1985 and became an international phenomenon, leading to the second and third films which were filmed back to back and released in 1989 and 1990. Though the two sequels did not perform quite as well at the box office as the first film, the trilogy remains insanely popular even now so we couldn't resist taking a little trip in our mental time machines to relive what is in our opinion, the best bits from this awesome franchise!

Check them out below.......

Or to be more precise, what the Flux Capacitor needs in order to make time travel possible!

2. The Delorean

Can’t get enough of Junk Foods amazing tees

TruffleShuffle Health Warning.....Junk Food will seriously affect your health.....y addiction to cool retro t-shirts!

Having seen many t-shirts grace the shelves of TruffleShuffle over the years, Junk Food definitely has to be my favourite brand. I originally fell in love with the soft figure hugging t-shirts, however – this romance has been kept alive due to Junk Foods ability to develop as a brand – offer more styles, more awesome designs – on different fabrics.

Recently moving house and downsizing gave me the opportunity to examine my wardrobe – asking my t-shirts random questions like; Have I worn you in the last year? Do you go with everything? Were you an impulse buy? I realised I couldn’t part with any of my Junk Food t-shirts as they all add something unique and quirky to my collection.

Starting with the Ladies Junk Food t-shirts, I thought I would have a closer look at the brand and choose my top 5 designs.

Junk Food are famous for their Super Hero collection and with designs like this – it’s clear why. I love this tee because it’s really fitted, such a nice colour for my summer wardrobe and features a quirky picture of my favourite super hero!

Ladies All American Wonder Woman T-Shirt £24.99

We have recently added some exciting new shapes – including this amazing design from Junk Food. I love this shape as it's really feminine whilst showing my appreciation for Star Wars!

Chunk – A great British t-shirt brand!

Hi my name’s Simon and I’m a Chunkaholic. There I said it. Now, If you haven’t come across any of our men’s T-shirts from Chunk then you’re in for a right treat. I’ll start with a quick history lesson...

Chunk started back in 2001 having launched some designs all based on the Haynes Car Manuals iconic cover illustrations. Ten years on and Chunk is now one of the UK’s leading urban street-wear labels. Chunk’s ethos was, and still is, to produce great designs on quality garments, targeting 18-35 year old males with a strong emphasis on cool nostalgia. Famous for their bold graphics, tongue-in-cheek humour and unique design quirks, Chunk now has worked with some of the biggest licenses in the world, which include Marvel, Hanna Barbera, Fremantle Media (Danger Mouse) and Lucas Films (Star Wars) – for which Chunk won a licensing award in 2007 for its Star Wars range. The future promises to be incredibly bright for Chunk as the brand expands into even more retro goodness further cementing its reputation as a great British brand.

With TruffleShuffle.com offering a massive range of amazing retro t-shirts, gifts and accessories we get to see cool new stuff all the time. But for me nothing matches the excitement of a new Chunk catalogue turning up because I know it will be full of amazing new designs. It’s their ‘outside the box’ approach to designing a t-shirt that I love, generally taking a familiar character such as Darth Vader or Mr.T and putting them in an unusual situation, IT’S GENIUS. I could only wish that when I’m down at the coast for a cheeky weekend surf that I catch a Stormtrooper ‘out the back’ riding that perfect wave or driving past my local scrap yard would reveal that Mr.T, Luke and Bo Duke, Michael Knight and the Trotters famous ‘rides’ had reached the end of their lives (probably due to the government Scrappage scheme!!). Only t-shirts from Chunk make this happen.

Bag it up!

Just as we were beginning to enjoy the sun, in true British weather fashion it’s been nothing but rain and wind since. No wonder The Beatles once sang about getting their “tan from standing in the English rain!”

So it’s back to layering up and bringing out the warm jackets- sad times. One thing I love about Truffle Shuffle is that not only does it sell awesome t-shirts but they’ve got a great collection of retro accessories and gifts which they keep adding to it.

Jeez, is there anything on this site I don’t want? *rhetorical question alert*

Last month Truffle Shuffle introduced the totally retro label Casio to the site and this time they now bring another retro brand back to our attention: Gola.

Growing up everyone knew of the brand Gola. It was as well-known as other sporting brands such as Adidas. I don’t think you can get more retro than Gola! In fact I’m sure I had some Gola trainers when I was a wee child….

Well you too can now fondly remember your childhood Gola days thanks to Truffle Shuffle. The site now features a range of Gola bags in a variety of sizes and colours.
