Holy Christmas carol! It's only another festive Friday which can only mean one thing....time for our weekly Retro Movie Rundown! Like the twinkling fairly lights shining amongst the Christmas tree hugging tinsel, let us be the light that guides you through the weekend as we walk our way through wintery fields in search of cinematic greatness even more chilly celluloid wonder.

SATURDAY 30th NOVEMBER
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) ITV London 3:15pm-6:05pm (2 hours 50 minutes)

Guest Post: 80s Movies Filming Locations in L.A.
You could say I'm a bit of an eighties nerd. I run the world's largest retro websites doyouremember.co.uk, I've written a book all about the 80s and I spend way too much time listening to 80s music and watching 80s movies. So you can probably imagine my excitement when I got the opportunity to jet off to L.A. on a mission to track down the filming locations of some of the very best movies of the eighties.
A business meeting in California gave me the opportunity to stay with some friends in San Diego for the weekend and these good and very patient friends of mine kindly agreed to spend a long day driving me hundreds of miles around L.A. hunting down cool photo opportunities.
When the good people at retro t-shirt store TruffleShuffle.co.uk heard about my forthcoming mission, they kindly agreed to give me the matching movie t-shirts to wear in each location. They have the coolest t-shirts in the world - seriously!
So at the weekend, after all the business meetings were concluded, I threw on my first 80s t-shirt and headed off in search of the first stop on our circular tour - Doc Emmet Brown's house from Back to the Future.
Next up was Elliott's house from E.T. (the Extra-Terrestrial)
Brand New Junk Food. Now that's food for thought....

GREAT SCOTT.... Back to the Future turns 28!! Is it the most perfect retro movie?
With so many dates involved with the three Back to the Future films itâs hard to work out which anniversary you should be wearing your Back to the Future T-Shirts for. Trust me, today is one of the days you should be wearing your flux capacitor with pride but that's not because it's the anniversary of the day that Doc Brown asks Marty McFly to meet him at 1:15 A.M. at the Twin Pines Mall itâs not even the anniversary of the day Doc, Marty, Jennifer and Einstein travelled to Oct. 21, 2015... 28 years ago today saw Doc Brown and Marty McFly unleashed on the public!
I may have only been 3 at the time, but with a massive love of all things automotive it wouldn't have taken a rocket scientist to work out that this retro blockbuster was likely to become my favourite flick! Never have I craved some movie merchandise so much more than wanting my very own DeLorean since the very first time I saw this movie!
I would be willing to bet that this is the perfect retro movie for petrolheads around the world, but is this movie really perfect? Well, with so many continuity errors in it it would appear not.... But I think I love the movie even more for it's funny little foibles. Here's 10 of my favourite....
1 - When Doc and Marty are at the Twin Pines Mall and Doc is telling Marty about the car etc, he says "never mind that now, never mind that now..." and Marty has the camera facing the ground, yet later when Doc in 1955 is watching the video, you can see him saying that on the video.

Zippidy Doo Da! It has to be a bank holiday bonanza!
As waves rhythmically crash against rocks on a beach, let us be your tiny but eager archaeologist, equipped with a bright red bucket and spade as we excitedly build for you a castle of mega cinematic greatness surrounded by a mote of celluloid wonder so we can proudly raise our flag of retro movie awesomeness.

Children's sci-fi adventure, starring Kate Capshaw, Tom Skerritt, Lea Thompson, Joaquin Phoenix and Tate Donovan.
