Spin kicking our way into another retro movie weekend, we're springing back into action to take on as many iconic titles and fresh faces as we can. Let's go!
SATURDAY 26th June
Thunderbirds Are Go! (1966) Film4 12:50pm-2:40pm
International Rescue is called in to save the first manned space mission to Mars from sinister hijacker The Hood, and ensure a second attempt goes to plan. Puppet adventure based on Gerry Anderson's TV series, featuring the voices of Shane Rimmer, Ray Barrett, Alexander Davion, Peter Dyneley, Sylvia Anderson and Cliff Richard, voicing a puppet version of himself.
The Next Karate Kid (1994) Film4 4:30pm-6:45pm
Wise karate mentor Mr Miyagi meets the orphaned teenage granddaughter of a soldier who once saved his life. As well as guiding her through the trials of high school and her first romance, he takes her to a Zen monastery to hone her martial arts skills. Adventure sequel, starring Pat Morita, Hilary Swank, Michael Ironside and Constance Towers.

Three mismatched prehistoric animals join forces to return a human infant to its tribe - but as their journey unfolds, the creatures fail to anticipate the many perils and pitfalls that lay in store for them. Young Sherlock Holmes (1985) Film4 1:55pm-4:05pm
The teenage detective and his future sidekick Watson meet for the first time at boarding school. The death of Holmes's mentor sets the youngsters on their first case, and they discover that former members of an archaeological survey team have died under suspicious circumstances - pointing to a sinister Egyptian cult using hallucinogenic poisons to kill its victims. Adventure, starring Nicholas Rowe, Alan Cox and Sophie Ward.
Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005) BBC One 4:30pm-5:50pm
Inventor Wallace and his canine sidekick Gromit have set up a pest control service, and are called in to stop rabbits overrunning a garden show. However, the pair are overwhelmed when a destructive giant bunny arrives on the scene, while an interfering aristocrat contrives to make matters worse. Nick Park's Oscar-winning animated adventure, with the voices of Peter Sallis, Ralph Fiennes and Helena Bonham Carter.

As winter approaches, the birds need to fly south, so she and her inventor father construct a light aircraft to lead the way. A man who has been trapped inside a mysterious jungle board game for 26 years is eventually freed when two children start to play it. Unfortunately, he arrives with a rampaging horde of animals on his heels, leaving only one solution - to finish the game he started all those years ago. The adventures of the boy who never grows old, as he whisks Wendy Darling and her brothers away to the magical world of Neverland - where they come face to face with fearsome Captain Hook. Adaptation of JM Barrie's fantasy novel, starring Jeremy Sumpter, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Jason Isaacs and Lynn Redgrave.

The plucky talking mouse feels left out when the son of his adopted human family makes a new pal - but quickly forgets such trifling matters when his high-flying canary friend is captured by an evil falcon, prompting the brave rodent to mount a daring rescue. A charismatic English teacher at a New England prep school in the 1950s raises eyebrows among his strait-laced colleagues by encouraging the students to live a life beyond their expectations. Unfortunately, the boys find their families and the rest of the teaching staff are not so understanding about their desire to follow their dreams. Peter Weir's drama, starring Robin Williams, Robert Sean Leonard, Ethan Hawke, Josh Charles and Gale Hansen.

English nobleman Robin of Locksley returns home from fighting in the Crusades, only to discover that his father has been murdered and his lands seized, while the local people are living in fear under the tyrannical rule of the Sheriff of Nottingham. Branded an outlaw for his defiance, he and his Moorish travelling companion go into hiding in the forest, where they recruit a group of bandits to fight for justice, protect the downtrodden, and foil the Sheriff's plan to seize the throne while the king is away at war.
