Captain Planet! It's only the weekend again!
Like an iconic retro superhero, we're stalking the shadows remaining ever present but mostly unseen as we put our plans into action and become the frontier in the battle between good and evil. We'll swoop down and save those in need, capture the bad guys all the while concealing our identity and remain a figure of legend whose selfless efforts are never claimed and rewarded.
We'll become the figure for all to rely on in times of need, all the while the population will hunt for our identity and attempt to capture us onto celluloid wonder.

Guest Post: 80s Movies Filming Locations in L.A.
You could say I'm a bit of an eighties nerd. I run the world's largest retro websites doyouremember.co.uk, I've written a book all about the 80s and I spend way too much time listening to 80s music and watching 80s movies. So you can probably imagine my excitement when I got the opportunity to jet off to L.A. on a mission to track down the filming locations of some of the very best movies of the eighties.
A business meeting in California gave me the opportunity to stay with some friends in San Diego for the weekend and these good and very patient friends of mine kindly agreed to spend a long day driving me hundreds of miles around L.A. hunting down cool photo opportunities.
When the good people at retro t-shirt store TruffleShuffle.co.uk heard about my forthcoming mission, they kindly agreed to give me the matching movie t-shirts to wear in each location. They have the coolest t-shirts in the world - seriously!
So at the weekend, after all the business meetings were concluded, I threw on my first 80s t-shirt and headed off in search of the first stop on our circular tour - Doc Emmet Brown's house from Back to the Future.
Next up was Elliott's house from E.T. (the Extra-Terrestrial)

So aboard an intimidating Viking long ship as it imposingly floats across a misty river towards an unbeknown Saxon village. Let us be your Norse Warrior raiding party as we swing high our mighty axes for mega movie mayhem, we'll hail loudly for cinematic awesomeness and we'll pillage aggressively for celluloid wonder. Valhalla awaits us!

Jingle bells, Batman smells! Another festive weekend of movies - hooray!
So like happy little elves dressed in stripy socks and pointy hats, working hard and making lots and lots of toys for all the good girls and boys, let us help fill up Santa's sack with heaps of retro cinematic magic and tons of nostalgic movie joy.

Time-travelling teenager Marty McFly travels to the 21st century, where he has to save his children from a terrible fate. Sci-fi comedy sequel, starring Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd.
