Classic 80s Movie Posters Recreated…With Kids

Here at Truffle Towers, we love a new twist on something classic. Be it a friendly mix of The Godfather and Transformers resulting in our Tronfather T-Shirt, or maybe even a mash up of Pink Floyd and Button Moon giving us our Dark Side of Button Moon T-Shirts, we have always had an eye on other peoples interpretations of the classic films and TV shows from our ‘not too distant’ past.

On one of our many travels through the weird and wonderful world of cyberspace, we stumbled over some fantastic recreations of classic 80s films posters this time using some cheeky chappies. Utterly adorable, and such a cool idea, take a look at what we found…

Can you think of any other classic retro posters you’ve love to see getting the same treatment? Let us know with a comment below. 🙂

Ferris Buellers’ Back in Town!

Hysteria has struck the Truffle Towers as we are frantically preparing for tonight’s blast from the past showing of legendary, uber cool, awesomely retro flick….’Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ on E4.

Now, for the unlucky lot who have not yet seen this marvel, we thought we’d prepare a little sneaky glimpse into the world of Bueller.

This classic 80’s high-school flick follows the truly epic adventure of cool cat Ferris, his girlfriend Sloane, and more hesitant best buddy Cameron as they embark on a monumental and very eventful skive from high-school, though the streets of Chicago.

Starring the young and laid back to the extreme, Matt Broderick as ‘the guy everyone wanted to be’, the legend… Ferris Bueller, this film follows one day’s antics, giving us a glimpse into the life of a guy living life to the full.

We thought we would share with you a few of our favourite moments from Ferris:

Possibly the most memorable scene of the film for us at Truffle Shuffle, Ferris entertains Chicago with The Beatles classic ‘Twist and Shout’. Gets us in the party spirit every time.

If you can’t wait until tonight, catch this scene here:

Every cool character needs ‘that’ car. Just to top off his already brimming cool, Ferris finds himself taking on a Ferrari 250 GT California, jaw droppingly gorgeous!

If this flick too gives you warm, the good old days nostalgia, why not browse our amazing Ferris creations here
How do we get involved we hear you cry!

E4, 10pm! Enjoy!
