Aliens declare war on Earth having seen video games from the 1980s and interpreted them as a threat. Their attack comes in the form of deadly recreations of classic video games, so the US government recruits four former arcade champions to repel the attack. Three bungling kidnappers hatch a plan to pose as society reporters and snatch the baby son of a wealthy couple. However, the infant escapes on to the streets of New York, evading the crooks' every attempt to recapture him. Comedy, starring Joe Mantegna, Lara Flynn Boyle, Joe Pantoliano and Brian Haley.

Chicken Run (2000) BBC One 1:40pm-3:00pm

A headstrong chicken and her fellow fowls ponder how to escape from a grim Yorkshire farm before the evil farmer's wife can turn them into pies. Luckily, help arrives in the form of a heroic American rooster who promises to show them how to fly. Nick Park's animated comedy, with the voices of Mel Gibson, Julia Sawalha, Miranda Richardson and Jane Horrocks.

Mischievous toddler Mikey is joined by his baby sister Julie and sibling rivalry inevitably erupts! While their parents have problems of their own to deal with, in the shape of the kids' good-for-nothing uncle. Comedy sequel, starring John Travolta and Kirstie Alley, with the voices of Bruce Willis and Rosanne Barr. An awesome one for all the family!

The Hound of Baskervilles (1983) True Movies 11:00am-1:00pm (2 hours) Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson set out to protect the last remaining member of the aristocratic Baskerville family, who believes he is being persecuted by a monstrous spectral hound roaming the bleak Devon moors. Adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's mystery thriller, starring Ian Richardson, Donald Churchill, Denholm Elliott, Martin Shaw and Brian Blessed. Sign us up!

Click, clunk, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Another retro movie weekend is here and ready to rock our lives with its movie goodness.

Dragging out, plumbing in and hooking up our trusty pressure washer, we find ourselves faced with the dirty decking from hell. Covered with many years of weather and BBQ good times, the once light and solid decking has now become darkened with age and pretty sorry for itself in places. Firing up the water machine from the future, we quickly begin to splash some lift back into it. With each pass of super high pressure water, we will reveal the hidden beauty.
