Twist, fizz and pour! Another retro movie weekend is here!

Selecting our fizzy sweet drink of choice, we'll pour ourselves a tall one over ice before setting up camp outside under the glowing sun. Watching the world go by, we'll take time to enjoy time and reminice about good times, good people and good refreshing drinks!

When you need a little bit more Bond

The name's not Bond, James Bond may be one of the most famous introductions ever, but this time it is Scott talking to you, and I have to say that I am a bit of a Bond fan.

Not only have I read the novels and seen all the movies, but I have also bought the T-Shirt...........more specifically I bought one from our cheeky new range of James Bond TShirts.

To give you a bit of a history lesson (and you thought school was over?), the very first outing for 007 was in the 1953 novel "Casino Royale" by the legend Ian Fleming, this was followed in quick succession with a book a year until 1966.

Amongst these stories are some iconic names of villains and assistants we all know and love including the likes of.... Le Chiffre, Rosa Klebb, Francisco Scaramanga, Nick Nack, Max Zorin, Hugo Drax, Ernst Blofeld, Odd Job, Jaws and Pussy Galore (although she did switch sides).

Our friends at the always cool Chunk Clothing have taken some of these villains and showcased them into an awesome new range of alternative T-Shirts. Take a look!

The Weekly Retro Movie Rundown 205

Deal of the day! Another retro movie weekend is officially here and boy oh boy are we excited!

Travelling through the streets and local fields like a lost squirrel searching for the buried nuts left many months before, we find ourselves glued to our trusty screen as we roam the lands in search of mystical creatures and the all important XP. We'll climb hills, brave the shores and perhaps even make a few friends along the way.

Have a happy retro weekend!

Pitch a tent and light a fire! Another retro movie weekend had arrived!

Finding juuuuust the right spot to set up base camp, we find ourselves thrown into the wilderness once again as we begin another weekend of outdoor adventure. Unfolding plastic sheets, thumping in (and inevitably bending) tent pegs, sourcing a water supply and of course....blowing up the air bed, we're all set for another adventure in the great British countryside. Will it rain? Will be blow away? Or perhaps will we just attract more bugs than a picnic in a busy swamp? Only time will tell.

Have a happy retro weekend!

The Weekly Retro Movie Rundown 203

Cheese and crackers! It's only another retro movie weekend full of nostalgia, fun and plenty of dodgy effects! Yep....believe it.

In a world of ever increasing screen revolutions, gigidybits, brandywidths and not forgetting those RAMs.....whatever they are, we find ourselves looking back to the past to remember the simpler times where you simply knocked on a door, popped outside to see who was 'out' and perhaps...for the braver of people, rang the landline *shiver*. Back then life wasn't through a profile or being constantly captured for people to see (thankfully!) but instead we created our very own fun. Invented games in the street, hung out in the coolest parents house (who would let us) and of course....wreaked havoc! Good times.

Have a happy retro weekend!

The Weekly Retro Movie Rundown 196

Chicken in a basket! It's another retro movie filled weekend again? So soon? But how the....?

Like a super keen runner who has been in the depths of a training routine for longer than they can remember, we find ourselves just days away from our goal....the next local 10k run. We've worked hard, been rained on, and blown from left to right by the great British Spring weather and now it's the real challenge. Will we beat our previous efforts? Will we be overtaken again by the IT guy who thought training was only something that happened on the railways? Only time, will tell.

Have a happy retro weekend!
