The Weekly Retro Movie Rundown – 380
With dust sheets down and everything masked up, we're loading up our movie brush to layer on some thick action, nostalgic and perhaps a splash of romance too. Are you ready for these masterpieces?

Baby's Day Out (1994) Channel 4 10:30am-12:30pm
Three bungling kidnappers hatch a plan to pose as society reporters and snatch the baby son of a wealthy couple. However, the infant escapes on to the streets of New York, evading the crooks' every attempt to recapture him. Comedy, starring Joe Mantegna, Lara Flynn Boyle, Joe Pantoliano and Brian Haley.
Chicken Run (2000) BBC One 1:40pm-3:00pm
A headstrong chicken and her fellow fowls ponder how to escape from a grim Yorkshire farm before the evil farmer's wife can turn them into pies. Luckily, help arrives in the form of a heroic American rooster who promises to show them how to fly. Nick Park's animated comedy, with the voices of Mel Gibson, Julia Sawalha, Miranda Richardson and Jane Horrocks.

Tommy tries to return his new brother to the baby shop, helped by Angelica, Chuckie, Phil and Lil - but the friends become lost in dense woodlands en route, turning their expedition into a scary and exciting journey of discovery. Animated comedy based on the TV series, with the voices of Elizabeth Daily, Christine Cavanaugh, Kath Soucie, Whoopi Goldberg and Busta Rhymes.
Rugrats Go Wild (2003) Film4 11:00am-12:40pm
A leaky boat leaves the precocious youngsters stranded on a jungle island, but their luck changes when explorers the Wild Thornberrys come to their rescue. However, Thornberry dad Nigel loses his memory, so it falls to his daughter Eliza to save the day. Children's animated adventure, with the voices of Nancy Cartwright, Bruce Willis, Lacey Chabert, Elizabeth Daily and Tim Curry.

An unhappy orphan living with his cruel aunts discovers a gigantic peach growing in the garden. Venturing inside, he meets six friendly insects and together they embark on a magical journey. Animated and live-action fantasy, based on Roald Dahl's novel, starring Paul Terry, Joanna Lumley and Miriam Margolyes and featuring the voices of Susan Sarandon and Richard Dreyfuss.

A gang of streetwise penguins decides to escape from New York's Central Park Zoo and return to a life in the wild, but when Marty the zebra and his friends follow suit, they end up stranded in Africa on a jungle island without a clue about how to fend for themselves.
