Our Top Films To Watch in 2016!

Can you believe it’s time for another one of these?! Each year just flies past quicker than the last, but each year we gain even more amazing films to add to our collection and we sure hope the fun never ends!

As big movie lovers (does our huge range of Movie Merchandise make that pretty obvious? Darn!) we really love getting to see some of the best characters ever created once again hit the big screen in always bigger, more exciting and of course more and more detailed and realistic effects than ever before.

2016 is quickly shaping up to be yet another amazing year with some really breath taking and massively anticipated films being released into the wild. So what can we expect from 2016? Well…. it turns out a whoooooole lot.

Take a peep at some of our top films to watch out for in 2016….

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Pretty much as good as life gets! Certainly not your average action-packed superhero film (if there is such a thing?), 2016 will of course bring us this huuuugely anticipated and debated Batman v Superman film! Now those of you who caught the epic 2013 Man of Steel would have perhaps noticed just how much carnage Superman caused, well it seems this sort of chaos certainly caught the eye of Batman himself. Fearing Superman may be out of control, Batman steps in to put it to a stop causing mankind to begin to decide just what sort of hero has a place in our world. With a new and very real threat from Lex Luthor, can Superman and Batman put aside their differences to save the world once again? – Coming March 25th.

Ghostbusters

It’s back folks! Yep ever since Venkman, Stantz, Spengler and Zeddemore very first hit our screens back in 1984, we’ve been in love with everything and anything Ghostbusters. Toys, bags, tees, figures…. we had the lot! Getting a revamp for 2016, this new Ghostbusters sees and all female crew taking on yet more mysterious goings on which is sure to be packed with the humour we know and love from this franchise. Hitting our screens on July 15th, fire up the Ecto-1!

Captain America: Civil War

Love a superhero combo? 2016 is the year for you! The next Captain America movie extravaganza will see the man himself clash heads with the mighty Tony Stark AKA…..Iron Man. Sure to be an amazing duel between fire and ice, Civic War will surely see both sides pull out all the stops to fight their corner. Anything Captain America and certainly anything Iron Man makes us giddier than a kid at Christmas so this is sure to have us on the edge of our seats from the get go. Exciting! – Coming 29th April

Deadpool

This is huge! For as long as we can remember, Deadpool has been one of our favourite characters to have ever been created! Set to be such a perfect mix of humour and butt-kicking action, Deapool sees a former US special forces member who has become more of a mercenary be part of a rogue experiment (always the way huh, when will they learn?) which gives him an amazing ability to heal in no time from any injury. With his new no fear attitude, his alter ego Deadpool is created and becomes his best chance for revenge against the man who nearly destroyed his life. Bring this one on! – Released February 10th.

Star Trek Beyond

There is no denying, the last Star Trek back in 2009 was simply AMAZING! From the cast and plot to the special effects and lens flare madness, this new series of films have really thrown Star Trek into the laps of many movie lovers and has gone such a long way to acquire a new generation of Trekkies. Hitting our screens on 22nd of July, we hope to see yet another amazing adventure with some of the best names and faces on the big screen. – On our screens 22nd July.

Zoolander 2

Despite being released back in 2001 (a whopping 15 years ago!), we’re pretty sure at least once a day we reference or quote something from this absolute comedy classic. When we first caught wind that the old team would be once again hitting the catwalk and busting out some Blue Steel action, it was like the movie gods had listened to our prayers! The story follows the dashing two as they try to uncover and stop an evil conspiracy which is working to kill the most really, really, ridiculously good looking people in the world. Cannot wait!  – Out February 12th

X-Men: Apocalypse

It’s powers galore in 2016! Yes we will be treated to another action-packed adventure with the X-Men, this time we will see their fight against the very first mutant who has re-appeared with just one aim in mind…..complete extinction of the world. Packed with more famous faces than the guest list of the Golden Globes (almost), this is sure to be one to watch. – Out 19th May.

The Legend of Tarzan

The oldies are the best! One of the most iconic characters ever, Tarzan is back! With an amazing new look thanks to some incredible special effects (and no….the abs are real!), this upcoming new Tarzan film looks like just what this tale has been looking for. Having acclimated to his new life in London, Tarzan is called back to the jungle to help investigate and stop some devastating mining activity. Has the damage already been done and can he stop the jungle becoming just another victim of the modern world? Find out on the 8th of July.

The Jungle Book

It’s re-vamp ahoy! Yep another classic tale is getting a little face lift as 2016 sees Disney icon The Jungle Book hit the big screen once again. With a tale any self-respecting Disney fan will know and love, this 2016 edition will follow and orphan who is released into the jungle, only to find comfort and security in the most unlikely of creatures including wolves, a bear, a snake and black panther. Catch it on April 15th.

So there they are folks! Any films you’re really looking forward to seeing in 2016 that aren’t on our list? Shout them out below….
