A doting dad is taken aback when his daughter announces she is getting married, and is thrown into a whirlwind of increasingly complicated wedding plans, a struggle to live up to the expectations of his wealthy future in-laws and the sad realisation that his little girl has grown up. A remake of the 1950s comedy, with Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, Kimberly Williams and Martin Short.

The Simpsons Movie (2007) Film4 12:45pm-2:30pm

Homer unwittingly pollutes Lake Springfield, so the US government decides to isolate the city underneath a giant dome. The Simpsons manage to escape and plan to start a new life in Alaska - but learn Springfield is about to be destroyed, and return to save their friends. With the voices of Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright and Yeardley Smith.

A put-upon father has just got used to his daughter being married when he learns she is pregnant. Thrown into a mid-life crisis, he impulsively sells his house so he and his wife can buy the seafront retreat they had always dreamed about - only for responsibility to come crashing back on him when his wife reveals she is also expecting. Comedy sequel, starring Steve Martin and Diane Keaton.

Shrek 2 (2004) ITV2 4:55pm-6:40pm

The grouchy ogre and his new wife Princess Fiona set out on a journey to meet her parents. However, the king and queen are less than impressed with their daughter's choice of husband, while a conniving fairy godmother is determined to make sure her own son gets to marry the princess. Animated adventure sequel, with the voices of Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderas, John Cleese, Julie Andrews, Jennifer Saunders and Rupert Everett.

The Karate Kid (1984) Sony Movies 9:10am-11:40am

A teenager at a new school befriends a pretty girl, but her ex-boyfriend is jealous and attacks him. During one particularly bad fight, a wise old caretaker intervenes and defeats the youngster's assailants using his martial art skills. He goes on to mentor the boy and teaches him karate so he can face his enemies in a tournament. Drama, with Ralph Macchio, Pat Morita and Elisabeth Shue.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) ITV2 9:55am-12:15pm

Unfortunately, the other winners each face a grim fate when they start to misbehave. A poverty-stricken squire spies an opportunity to make his dreams come true when his employer dies. The hapless fool is employed as a security guard for a British art gallery and is sent to Los Angeles to bring back a famous painting. A teenager discovers his new neighbour is the writer of a popular series of books, who harbours a terrifying secret. The ghosts and monsters the author writes about are real, and his stories keep them contained. The youngster accidentally releases them into the real world and has to find a way to get them back in the books before they can cause chaos. Fantasy adventure, starring Jack Black and Dylan Minnette.
