Stone Roses give their approval to their hit Fools Gold being sampled by Wretch 32

Grime artist Wretch 32 has used the bassline from The Stone Roses’ 1989 classic, Fools Gold on his new single Unorthodox and King Monkey Ian Brown has given it his royal seal of approval.

Set to be a Summer smash, The Sun say 'North Londoner Wretch explained his joy at Brown giving the all clear to sample Fool's Gold revealing that the indie icon had given the nod to his song. The track, which features fellow rapper Example, is a surprising use of the 90s hit but it works really well with an infectious chorus guaranteed to make it an anthem.'

Check out the new version HERE and let us know what you think. Does it even come close to the original or is it an improvement in your opinion? Gotta admit, it does kind of get stuck in your head but then that's most probably thanks to The Stone Roses influence!
