This time around we're diving into the super weird and super wonderful world of the Princess Diana of Themyscira herself with our 10 Things You Didn’t Know About…Wonder Woman!

1 - Wonder Woman never actually had a dad. Weirdly she was formed out of clay by her mother and brought to life by the Greek god's. As you do...

2 - She sure can talk the talk! Not only can she handle herself in any situation, she can also speak her native Themysciran, Ancient and Modern Greek, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Mandarin, Russian and Hindi!

3 - When Wonder Woman is chained up or her bracelets are stuck together, she loses all her powers. This actually happens a lot in the stories much like a lot of other superheroes however it gives her a chance to use cunning and wit to help her break free, showing off more of her talents.

4 - Wonder Woman has run for president in the comic books...twice! Yep back in 1943 and again in 1972 the Princess ran to run the US of A but sadly she didn't win. For shame!

5 - Thought she's had a few costume changes over the years and more dramatically only just recently (on our blog here), her very first outfit was changed after it received a number of complaints about it....mostly to so with her exposed back. As a result the comic book industry introduced the Comics Code Authority in 1954 and made sure her back is always covered more.

6 - Wonder Woman actually started life as Suprema. The name Suprema was dropped before ever going to print and Wonder Woman was born.

7 - She has an invisible fortress called The WonderDome! Despite being able to fly on her own pretty darn fast, Wonder Woman has an invisible plane but it doesn't stop there. The plane has been known to turn into a fortress in the sky too!

8 - Now as pretty mad as this seems to us, her very first role in The Justice Society’s was as their secretary! She wasn't even allowed on missions!

9 - Her alter ego Diana Prince was actually a nurse who she met and then paid so that she could use all of her details.

10 - The spin she does to change into her costume was never written in the comics but was introduced for the screen.
