Princess Diana of Themyscira Is Back! Our Top Reasons We're Expecting Wonder Woman To Rock!

Ever since Hollywood took a perhaps.. fanatical interest in the weird and wonderful work of superheroes and the butt-kicking movies from DC and Marvel start to really stream out of the studios (10 superhero films planned between 2016 and 2020 alone!), the world has been crying out for our beloved heroine Wonder Woman to get the screen time she truly deserves. When we first heard the new back in late 2014, we knew our pleas had been heard. We knew this would quickly become something of a big deal and it's not safe to say it truly has!

Taking on this movie was we're sure no easy task with fans all over the world craving some serious Wonder Woman action and nothing but the very best would do.

With so much hype surrounding this latest dive into the superhero world already and the UK release just a few hours away (1st June 2017), we thought we would take some time to give you our personal Top 5 Reasons We're Expecting Wonder Woman To Rock! Enjoy...

The Action...

Any superhero films these days needs a pretty decent amount of action and drama right? We're expecting nothing less than all out war sprinkled with slow-motion shots, strong posses and a splash of Lasso of Truth action.

Directed by Patty Jenkins who is previously know for here film 'Monster', we don't think that any action will become all encompassing though. Potentially making a nice chance form recent releases, we're expecting any action to be carefully considered and choreographed without the usual sniff of 20minute fight scenes which would have really been just 5. Not action for action sake but only adding to the excitement levels and showcasing the characters strength and power.

The Wardrobe...

We're sure you've seen the posters and clips by now revealing here stunning look for this picture. It's a killer right?! Strong and true to the original, this outfit shows that you can be hard as nails, take on the best and win and look seriously glam doing it!

With a lot of her and other cast members styles taking on their warrior looks, they really looked to have nailed the fierce yet sophisticated image with lots of golds, and earth tones. Take a peep at some other snaps..

The Cast...

No superhero film would truly be complete without a star-studded line up right?! Wonder Woman is certainly sure not to disappoint on this front!

Wonder Woman - Gal Gadot

Israeli actress and model (and former Miss Israel!) best known for her work in the Fast and Furious films and later as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016). Gal can bring a high level of class, sophistication and can sure pack a punch.

Stebe Trevor - Chris Pine

LA born Chris cut his teach in the world of TV acting. He quickly rose to movie fame in 2004 's Princess Diaries 2 and later in 2009 hit Star Trek. Since then he has continued his movie success being a part of Unstoppable (2010), This Means War (2012), People Like Us (2012), and the sequel Star Trek Into Darkness (2013). Often mischievous but charming, we're hoping to see him bring out some of Princess Diana's fin side.

General Antiope - Robin Wright

You might recognise her from 1987's classic The Princess Bride where she played... The Princess Bride. Since then she has landed a number of roles in films including The Playboys (1992), Toys (1992), Forrest Gump (1994) and later a lead role in top TV hit House of Cards. Incredibly talented and a sure to bring some warrior attitude to the role.

Sir Patrick - David Thewlis

Professor Remus John Lupin! Sorry... be cool. Blackpool born actor, David made his way into the movie biz with roles in titles including Naked (1993), DragonHeart (1996), Restoration (1995), Black Beauty (1994) and later Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004). Looking forward to hee his next role in Wonder Woman for sure!

The Cinematography...

From the tailor and screen shots alone, we can see that the locations, landscapes and camera work is likely to bring something really special to the franchise. Superhero films have always been a good opportunity to get creative given their other worldly nature and bigger budgets, Matthew Jensen seems to have captured our imaginations to a tee with fantastic visuals and scenes.

Epic landscapes, amazing action close-ups and awe-inspiring wise shots with so much to breathe in really look to give this some depth and a mix of focus. Moody, colourful and grand... it's got the lot!

We get to wear our Wonder Woman TShirts to the cinema...

Of course we love rocking our tees all year round, rain or shine, movie release or not, however getting to wear something from our childhood while supporting a modern adaptation really keep our fandom alive and well and is sure to raise a smile or two in the process. WIN WIN! Take a peep...

It's not only clothing though! We've had sooo much buzz surrounding some of our Wonder Woman accessories it's unreal!
