Shake a stick and dance a jig! It's time for another retro movie weekend!

Like a well rehearsed and totally committed high board diver taking part in an international event (you choose), we find ourselves stepping up the long and nervous climb to reach our platform. Taking a moment to take in the scene, atmosphere and to gain composure, we'll steady our breathing before stepping towards the edge of the world. Counting down to the big moment, we'll coil like a spring ready to leap into action before springing into action for our moment of truth.

Chilli and rice! It's another extra long retro movie filled weekend?! Well....if we must!

So like one of the most talented and determined ice sculptors in the land, we find ourselves faced with a big block pure and clean ice acting as our blank canvas. With our mind racing with the possibilities, we'll begin to chip and chisel away at the super cooled goodness as we create one of our finest pieces. We'll rub and scrape our work into everything we imagined fully in the knowledge of it's impending doom. While it might melt and disappear in front of our eyes like each and every retro movie weekend, what will remain are the memories and experience of what once was. So how will you shape your ice?

We just can't sit still here at TruffleShuffle! With the chaos of Christmas now but a memory, we're in no mood to relax and are back and at em with our fab new collection of retro mugs!

What a month! Last week we celebrate the 20th anniversary of one of our very favourite Films Forrest Gump, now it's the turn of one of the biggest indie films ever to hot the big 2-0 and say goodbye to its teen years!

What a classic! Pulp Fiction first premiered in May 1994 at the Cannes Film Festival where it picked up a Palme d'Or, the festival's top prize, this instant hit later landed in the UK's cinema screens today (10th September) the same year.

Quickly making a name for itself and changing the way people look and even make movies, this cult classic beat the odds when it outsold its main rival at the time which was Sylvester Stallone's The Specialist which was showing in twice as many screens! Unsurprisingly, this film went on to become the top indie film to gross over $100 million, not bad seeing as it cost $8.5 million to make and a further $10 million to promote! Wowzers!

Now some of these might be a little hard (and painful) to believe, but some of our and hopefully your favourte films are growing up fast and will be turning a whopping 20 years old! Eeep!

So many iconic flicks that in our minds must have only come out no more than 5 years ago, first entered our lives for good wayyy back in 1994.

Now that doesn’t seem that long ago right? Even though all of these films are now old enough to drink, gamble and smoke (we wouldn't recommend any obviously), it's simply amazing just how much these films are loved even now and considered total classics!
