Happy Easter! Check Out Our Favourite Retro Film Easter Eggs...

Happy Easter everyone!

By now we're sure you've all been stuffing your little faces with all the different sized chocolate eggs the Easter Bunny has left you, we sure have!

To help keep things in the spirit of Easter, we though we would give you some of our favourite Easter eggs....of the movie kind! For those not in the know, a movie Easter egg is a little inside joke, a hidden message or perhaps a little gem of knowledge you didn't know about. Just like what the Easter Bunny does, movie maker hide these little nuggets of cool around in their films ready for you to discover.

So! To save you a bit of hunting time, at least in the movies and now around the house, we decided to show you some that have been inspired by our top selling Movie T-Shirts, and our own personal top retro films that you might not have spotted before. Enjoy!

Top Gun

When Maverick and Goose are in the bar singing to Kelly McGillis, the uniformed man singing along on Goose's right is one of the actual pilots who performed maneuvers for the movie.

The Goonies

One of the Fratelli brothers, Jake, wears a hat the entire film. That hat is none other than Indiana Jones' fedora from Raiders of the Lost Ark and Temple of Doom. Steven Spielberg took it from Harrison Ford's head and brought it to the Goonies' filming.

Star Wars

In the 'The Phantom Menace', it shows members of E.T.'s race Grebleips present in the Galactic Senate. In fact 'Grebleips', is 'Spielberg' spelled backwards!

Indiana Jones

Ever spotted C3PO and R2-D2 in Indiana Jones? Look at the post to the left of him next time :).

Pulp Fiction

In the opening scene where Samuel Jackson and John Travolta shake down the college guys for Marcellus Wallace's "suitcase", you will notice that Jules (Samuel Jackson)takes a bite from one of the guys burger. Jules make a reference to how good Big Kahuna burgers are. As it happens, Big Kahuna was also the establishment frequented by Mr. Blonde after the robbery goes awry in "Reservoir Dogs".

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial

In E.T when everyone's out for Halloween, while looking through the eyes of ET, you'll see a lady, who his eyes seem to follow. It's a woman in a monster mask carrying a poodle. This woman is Debra Winger, the voice of ET.

The Goonies

In the scene where Chunk is talking to the sheriff after the run-in with the Fratelis, the cop lists all the previous stories Chunk has told the police. One is that Chunk alleged there were creatures that multiply when you add water to them ... this is a reference to Gremlins. Chris Columbus wrote the story of Gremlins; he also did the screenplay for The Goonies.

Toy Story

When Buzz and Woody are arguing on the bed,

at one point woody says "Buzz LightBEER" then

pauses and glances at the camera.

So there you have them folks! Hopefully some of these would have been a little trickier to spot than you own Easter Eggs today, we wouldn't want it being too easy right? :)

Are there any you think we've missed then you've spotted? Let us know by leaving a comment below and we might just pop it in

Happy Easter everyone!
