SATURDAY 17th October

Daylight (1996) 5STAR 12:05pm-2:25pm

A devastating explosion in the New Jersey Tunnel causes a horrific pile-up, trapping a group of motorists underground. A former emergency worker witnesses the blast and heads in to guide the handful of survivors to safety before the waters of the Hudson river above them break through and flood the tunnel. Disaster movie, starring Sylvester Stallone, Amy Brenneman, Viggo Mortensen, Dan Hedaya and Claire Bloom.

Rugrats in Paris: The Movie (2000) Film4 1:00pm-2:35pm

The lucky little tots embark on a trip to a French theme park - but while the rest of the gang are intent on enjoying themselves, Chuckie is distracted by his wish for a new mum. He sets his sights on the owner of the amusement park as a prospective partner for his single dad. Animated adventure, with the voices of Christine Cavanaugh, Elizabeth Daily, Cheryl Chase, Kath Soucie and Susan Sarandon.

A vulcanologist's suspicions that a long-dormant volcano is about to erupt turn out to be true, prompting him to race against time to save the community standing in its way - and clash with local government officials weighing his predictions against the loss in tourism revenue. Disaster movie, starring Pierce Brosnan, Linda Hamilton, Elizabeth Hoffman and Charles Hallahan.

Blue-collar caveman Fred Flintstone is promoted to an executive position at work and unwittingly becomes embroiled in an embezzlement scheme - thanks in no small part to his seductive new assistant. Live-action version of the cartoon comedy, starring John Goodman, Rick Moranis, Rosie O'Donnell, Halle Berry and Elizabeth Taylor.

A family of tiny alien spacecraft intervenes to help the residents of a run-down Manhattan brownstone tenement stop greedy developers from demolishing their homes. However, the miniature flying saucers have the odds stacked against them as they bravely do all they can to save the day. Sci-fi fantasy, starring Jessica Tandy, Hume Cronyn, Frank McRae and Elizabeth Pena.

A fleet of huge flying saucers launches a devastating and unprovoked attack on Earth. As survivors try to flee the seemingly unstoppable alien invaders, the courageous US president, an ace pilot and a computer genius come up with a plan to take the fight to the enemy and save the human race. High-kicking teenager Daniel accompanies his venerable mentor Mr Miyagi when he returns to the Japanese province of Okinawa to visit his dying father. Three years after the destruction of Jurassic World, Owen Grady and Claire Dearing are asked to return to the theme park to save its resident dinosaurs from the island's active volcano. During their mission, they uncover a conspiracy that may affect the entire planet. Action sequel, starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rafe Spall and Toby Jones.

Jackie Brown (1997) Dave 9:00pm-12:10am

An air hostess is arrested for smuggling drugs and money into the US for a local arms dealer. Realising her life may be in danger she leaves jail with a plan to stay one step ahead by playing the criminal and the police off against each other. Quentin Tarantino's crime drama, based on the novel Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard, starring Pam Grier, Robert Forster, Robert De Niro, Samuel L Jackson, Bridget Fonda, Michael Keaton and Michael Bowen.

An account of the life of medieval Scottish hero William Wallace. After the slaughter of his father and brother, young Wallace is taken in by his uncle, who teaches him how to use not only his brawn but his brain - which he employs to great effect years later when he resolves to drive the English out of Scotland. An uncompromising major is placed in charge of a seemingly suicidal mission to destroy a French chateau being used as a base by Nazi officers. Needing tough but expendable soldiers for the task, he recruits 12 hardened criminals from military prison. An aspiring writer takes a caretaking job at a remote mountain hotel. It has closed for the winter, and he has been hired to get the place ready for the next season. But evil spirits haunting its corridors destroy his sanity, causing the unhinged author to rampage through the hotel and terrorise his wife and young son. Stanley Kubrick's horror, based on the Stephen King novel, with Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd and Scatman Crothers.

The long-suffering youngster hopes his lifelong run of bad luck will come to an end when he develops a crush on a new schoolfriend. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) Channel 4 3:10pm-6:00pm

The war between the shape-shifting robots erupts once again, as the first of the evil Decepticons leads an attack on Earth to locate an ancient planet-destroying machine. Hapless teenager Sam Witwicky is caught in the middle of the ensuing conflict as he holds the key to discovering the location of the device. Vietnam veteran John Rambo turns down a request from his old colonel to join a mission in Soviet-occupied Afghanistan. The students of a high school are stalked by a masked knife-wielding maniac with a love of scary movies and a penchant for playing mind games with his prey. One of the girls on his hit list begins to suspect there is a connection between the killer and her mother's murder a year previously. Wes Craven's horror, which satirises the genre's cliches, starring Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox.
