10 Nostalgic 90s Cartoons You Probably Forgot Existed

Growing up in the 80s and 90s was surely the best time to be a telly-loving kid. There were so many weird and wonderful cartoons beaming their way onto our screens on Saturday mornings taking us to strange and magical places while we sat there in our pyjamas and a bowl of cereal (the one that had the best free toy). Bliss!

There are countless classics we remember and celebrate now with our range of exclusive cartoon T-Shirts including the likes of Rugrats, The Raccoons and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but there are also a whole heap of absolute gems you may have totally forgotten about... until now!

Digging back into the past (and a whole lot of memories!), we've picked out some classic cartoons that may have just slipped your mind. Find out how many you remember?

1) Angry Beavers

Angry Beavers 90s Cartoons

Starring brothers Daggett (Dag) and Norbert (Norb), this 1997 Nickelodeon icon followed their surreal misadventures of two young Beavers who have moved away from their parent's home and dream of a bachelor's life. Running for 5 seasons up until 2001 and giving us 62 episodes, this is one damn wild ride!

2) The Wild Thornberrys

The Wild Thornberrys Cartoon

Talk about a 'SMASHING!' toon! A David Attenborough documentary meets Dr Dootlittle, this telly classic followed Eliza, who can talk to animals, and the amazing adventures she has around the world with her family while they film a nature TV show. If there's fun and nature to be found, you can be sure these guys will find it. Perfectly honoured with our very own The Wild Thornberrys TShirt!

3) Mona the Vampire

Don't worry, this absolute classic wasn't just a figment of your imagination! First hitting our screens back in 1999, this fang-tastic toon followed Mona and her sidekicks Charlie and Angela on their weird and wild (and mainly imaginary) adventures! Did we mention the totally awesome intro theme song? Oh yeah, that rocks!

4) Rocko's Modern Life

Remember this worrisome wallaby? Following the life of Rocko and his adventures in America after immigrating from Australia, this humble and neat ozzie found himself in some pretty wacky situations with pals as he got to grips with life in the US. Running for just four seasons, add some Rocko love in your life with our awesome Rocko's Modern Life bags and backpacks from Loungefly.

5) Dexter's Laboratory

A total Cartoon Network classic, Dexter's Lab ran for four glorious seasons kicking off back in 1996. The show followed boy genius Dexter and his efforts to create world-saving inventions from his top-secret lab. All while his annoying sister Dee Dee did her best to distract him or his nemesis Mandark attempted to destroy his lab. Sounds stressful!

6) Aaahh!!! Real Monsters

Study hard - scare good! A frightfully weird and wild toon (well... it was the 90s), Aaahh!!! Real Monsters followed Oblina, Ickis and Krumm as they navigate life as child monsters in Monster Academy. Pretty normal stuff, right? Make sure you're looking so damn cool it's scary in our exclusive Aaahh!!! Real Monsters T-Shirts and merchandise... just look out for The Gromble!

7) Dungeons & Dragons

Dungeons and Dragons

Ever find yourself thrown into a magical fantasy world where you're hunted by an evil tyrant while trying to find your way home? You've either been eating too much cheese before bed or you've been lucky enough to watch the awesome D&D cartoon!

Running for just three wonderful years from 1983 to 1985 and giving us three seasons of action and adventure, we joined six friends as they battled their way home after being thrown into the wild world of Dungeons & Dragons after riding a magical dark ride at an amusement park. As you do.

8) SuperTed

First finding fame as a series of books and then later into the small screen with this totally iconic cartoon, this ordinary teddy took on a whole new life when a spotty man from outer space (Spotty) brought him to life with his cosmic dust. After receiving special powers from Mother Nature, this humble bear became... SuperTed who whisked us away on weird and wonderful adventures.  It was the 80s after all. Do you remember this classic? Perhaps our exclusive SuperTed T-Shirt might just jog your memory!

9) Biker Mice from Mars

Aftering fleeing from war on their home planet, three motorbike-loving mice called Throttle, Modo and Vinnie settle on Earth to protect it from the feisty, fishy Plutarkians. Weird times but this totally classic show gave us three seasons and 65 glorious episodes from 1993 to 1996. Not only did we have the toys from this gem of a toon, but now we have our very own out-of-this-world Biker Mice from Mars T-Shirts!
