It's Showtime! 'Beetlejuice 2' Release Confirmed For 2024
Big news in movie land this week! Whether you say his name three times or not, our favourite ghost with the most Betelgeuse is back with the long-awaited Beetlejuice 2 movie finally confirmed for 2024.
An eagerly anticipated follow-up to Tim Burtnon's 1988 cult classic which introduced us to Adam and Barbara Maitland who, after discovering they have died and become ghosts, call upon a mischievous self-proclaimed âbio-exorcistâ called Beetlejuice to help them rid their home of its unbearable new owners, we're so excited to dive right back into the weird and wonderful world of Winter River, Connecticut.
What we know so far...
With details still being revealed, here are some details that have been confirmed so far...
It has been confirmed that stars of the original Michael Keaton (Beetlejuice), and Winona Ryder (Lydia Deetz) will reprise their roles as well in introducing new cast members Jenna Ortega who will be joining as Lydiaâs daughter and Justin Theroux whose role is yet to be confirmed.
Who will be directing?
Once again directed by the legendary Tim Burton, so we can be pretty confident (and hopeful!) that the next chapter in the Beetlejuice story will be packed with its original charm that fans everywhere still love today.
When will it be released?
At a panel at the 2023 CinmaCon, Warner Bros announced that the long-awaited sequel is confirmed to be in development (after YEARS of rumours!) and now we have a release date of 6th of September, 2024
